The observant among you may have noticed that Wildcat Gear actually shut up shop in February of this year (2019).
Beth and Ian who had started Wildcat a decade ago made the tough decision to close the doors after realising they just couldn't commit the time required to make the business work. Wildcat had taken a backseat to their young family and a house move from Wales to Scotland signalled what felt like the right time to wind the business down.
Around the same time Steven Shand was taking a step back from his day to day role at the bicycle company he started (Shand Cycles) and was now looking for a new challenge. Having known Beth and Ian from almost the very beginning of Wildcat, Steven jumped at the chance to revive Wildcat and see it into the next chapter.
As we write this (September), we're finalising designs and plans for some new and updated products. We're not quite ready to take orders yet but plan to be back online selling our UK made bikepacking gear before the end of 2019.
