Back in September 2019 I wrote about the upcoming relaunch of Wildcat and I said we'd have new product ready to go by the end of the year.
Then it all got quiet, the end of the year came and went and there's no new product yet.
I figured an update is overdue.
We are still relaunching and all the original plans are still in place, however, the timescales have slipped considerably. No serious issues but there were changes we wanted to make to some of the products that have taken a little longer than planned. The factory in the UK producing the production samples for us has been incredibly busy and the leadtimes for our prototypes (not to mention stock) has been pushed further and further back.
We're still committed to pushing forward with the brand and making the very best product we possibly can but we're not going to rush things. It needs to be right. I suspect we'll have lost out on sales to people who just can't hang around forever waiting. I'm pretty much ok with that. I wish it was different but it's not. There's no point any of us getting stressed about about this stuff. Life's too short.
That said, clearly it makes a bit of sense to give you a better idea of where we are right now... We've got our production samples through from the factory and they look great. Once we are happy to sign off on all of this, we can get the orders secured with the factory. I suspect we'll still be looking at at least 10 weeks (possibly longer) before we'll have stock ready to ship.
The plan is to get the new designs photographed and up on the site. We may open things up for forwarding ordering but may just wait until we physically have stock before activating the 'buy' button. Either way, you'll get to see the stuff pretty soon.
